Collaborative editing with Premiere Pro
If you’re looking for a great way to collaborate with other editors and make your workflows more efficient, Premiere Pro is the way to go. Working collaboratively with this powerful video editing software requires no extra hardware — just an internet connection.
Working together has never been easier! Just create a Team Project in Premiere Pro and your co-workers will be able to join in and stay up-to-date on your progress. You can always keep track of who is working on what by glancing at the header bar, where participants are listed and active collaborators are indicated.
- But what if someone messes with my sequence? - you might ask. Don't worry about it, because the team at Premiere Pro has a solution called Sequence Locking!
Basically, Premiere Pro will show you when someone else is working on the project and will automatically lock the sequence so no overlaps are made. There’s only one version of a sequence, and it's easy to hand off edits between collaborators.
When you've completed your edits and are ready to proudly showcase your work, use the Publish button to unlock the sequence and share it with collaborators. The Changes column in the Project panel displays when a sequence has been edited, so you can easily keep track of all the progress.
Also, to access teammates’ updates on any machine, click on the Update button for the latest edits. Your collaboration has now come full circle!
Improved masking tools

Zoom in at 800% or use the camera view at 1600%, fine-tuning your work as much as needed for perfect results, every time. Get ready to save hours of effort while producing professional artwork like never before!
Select toggle switches on multiple tracks
Working in the Premiere Pro Timeline panel couldn’t be easier and more efficient with the new track targeting options. You can now select multiple tracks to target, enabling you to toggle switches such as visibility and locks quickly and easily.
To select multiple sources or target tracks at once, press the Ctrl (Windows) or Command (macOS) key while dragging across multiple track buttons. If you need to reverse your selection, use Ctrl (Windows) or Command (macOS) + Shift while dragging.
Upgrade captions to graphics
With Premiere Pro, you can take your captions to the next level by converting them into graphics. This unlocks a world of creative options like adding effects and transitions to make the words come alive on screen. To fine-tune your timing, you can use keyframing to achieve amazing results.
When it's time to finalize, you can export the graphic captions with all of the effects - ensuring the highest production value for your project. Even after the transformation, your captions still remain fully editable as text within the Program Monitor or Text Panel.
Let's get technical!
For all of the tech lovers out there, this Premiere Pro version comes with 3 cool tech updates you'll love!
Improved support for ARRIRAW with GPU deBayering
Premiere Pro unlocks the full potential of ARRIRAW with dazzling visuals, smooth playback, and robust performance - courtesy of GPU-deBayering.
But it doesn't stop there! Expanded Source Settings offer a suite of additional creative controls to give your content an eye-catching look.
Premiere knows just how you like them too: automatically identifying the correct LOG color spaces for ARRI cameras, like the ALEXA mini/35 cameras as well as metadata for anamorphic lenses. High-tech stuff, right?
RED V-Raptor XL camera support
The new RED V-Raptor XL is here, and with it comes seriously impressive features that will provide filmmakers with a new level of creative freedom. Premiere Pro's support for this new powerful camera includes improved GPU-deBayering for smooth playback of 8K RED RAW.
This will provide unprecedented quality and smoothness that take the cinematic experience to an entirely new level. Now you can capture every detail to its fullest potential - this is a game changer!
Expanded color space export options for XAVC
Exporting XAVC in Rec. 2100 PQ HDR is a great way to revolutionize your video content!
With this technology, you can benefit from both intra and long GOP encoding to give videos greater color accuracy, dynamic range, and fidelity than ever before.
By taking advantage of the intra-encoding scheme which uses fewer bits, more complex scenes can be compressed while maximizing quality as compared to other frames.
Meanwhile, the long GOP encoding allows for further storage size reduction with minimal sacrifices to quality. XAVC in Rec. 2100 PQ HDR is truly a game-changer when it comes to producing stunning digital video!
With all of the new features and updates in Premiere Pro, you're sure to fall in love with this software all over again. Whether you're a techie or just looking to up your video production game, these latest updates have something for everyone.
So given that you are not in the middle of a project, stay ahead of the curve and make sure to upgrade today!
